Whats New at BYU-Idaho.

I spent the first few days of the year with three of my sisters and their families, which was nice. I started the new year out in St. George since my parents got the idea to visit the Barben Family about 48 hours earlier.  While I wasn't quite mentally or physically prepared to leave for school, I some how managed to get my stuff together in less than 24 hours of finding out we were going to Utah. I think we spent one day and two nights at their house. During the day we were there, we went to see some petroglyphs and we went hiking. It was a nice little excursion. We also had a little party on New Years Eve.

New Years Day we left for the Jensen's.  We spent almost as much time at their house as we did at the Barbens. However, we spent less time with them on account of the Sabbath ( of the Lord's Day) falling on the second day of our visit. Dad went to Church with his brother Cobb and I went with my mother and grandmother to grandma's ward. I also rediscovered the wonders of grandma's cooking, which I don't think I have experienced for several years.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot to say that it was  COLD that day. It was only a few degrees Fahrenheit in the morning and there was a some wind.

We left the Jensen's on the first Monday of 2011, or the third day of the year. And so we headed for the most likely place to find my youngest sister on a cool winters day in Salt Lake. And that is- Deseret Industries. After meeting up with Elise at DI, we made our way to her apartment. After spending a little time there we were off to Rexburg.

Mom and Dad helped me unload and then they were off to a hotel in Idaho Falls, Idaho. And so here I am, back for another school year, in Rexburg- which, a year ago, I wasn't quite sure if I wanted to come back,  yet here I am.

Today,

I spent quite a bit of time walking around campus. I picked up the rest of my Federal Pell Grant
(Yeah!) and then talked to a counselor about changing my major. As a result,  I dropped out of half of my classes, and then I tried to find classes that I could take, that I needed, that weren't full. I also explored some of the new additions to the Manwaring Center and the new BYU-Idaho Center ( they look pretty impressive) and I got most of my books for my classes.

And that's What New ( with me) at BYU-Idaho.
