Petra, Jerash, and the real Philly

A few days ago we embarked on a journey through Jordan.

From Jerusalem we traveled "Across the desert and through the mountain to the Canyon of the Crescent Moon."

While we did see the famous "Treasury" shown in the movie "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade " We didn't find the Holy Grail. But I did get some cool pictures, found below.

This is the Treasury.

This is on the way up to the monestary

And this is the monastery. We could go inside of this one.

This is at Jerash- one of the best preserved Roman cities in the world

These three pictures are from the Gladiator Games.

This leads up to the temple of Artemis.

Church building in Amman ( formally known as Philadelphia.)

And here is a little bit of Philly

I think this is King Hussein Mosque. The women all had to wear a burka

And this is the site where Jesus was probably baptized. I think the river has definitely shrunk since that time. And man was it hot there.

Well, that is my Jordan adventure summed up in pictures. It was really great.
