Glorious Galilee

Galilee is a splendid place. I was so sad to leave. The following are five fun, almost spiritual and spiritual things that I loved about Galilee and Northern Israel. This is really hard because there were so many great things, but I really loved,

The Coast. Haifia, Acco, and Caesaria Maritima. I think I love the enchantment of the sea, but also they are very beautiful places and they have a nice breeze from the sea.

The Church in Nain, the city where Christ raised the widow's son from the dead. The church also     just had a great feeling about it. Also, it was fun to kick a soccer ball around with a few of the local                kids.

Capernum, the city that Jesus loved but which he later cursed. We also visited Bethsaida and Cherozim, all cities where he did mighty works but the people rejected him so he cursed them. Also, I thought the Orthodox Church nearby was pretty neat.

The Sea of Galilee- Waking up early in the morning to read scriptures, wading in the water in the         morning and at night. Sitting on the beach listing to the soothing lapping of the waves, running along the beach and in the water, and swimming in the sea. The boat ride across the Sea of Galilee was also fun.

Mt. Tabor- The Mount of Transfiguration.  This was such a wonderful place. It has a really good felling to it. We also sang in the church ( as well as in the Church of Nain and at Mt. Carmel).

We also went to lots of other places, such as Mt. Carmel, Jezreel valley, Megiddo, Nazareth, the land of Dan, and the Golan Heights.

Today was a pretty chill day. I took a nap and did some homework. Also, I went to the evening  Orthodox Synagogue Service. It was kind of like Sabbath at the Western Wall. It was a neat experience.
