It's A Great Day to Be Alive.

Hey Everybody,

Thanks everybody for thinking of me on this day. It was a long birthday, and unfortunately I took few pictures. So what did I to celebrate my 24 years of life?

First, I got up at about a quarter until five with just about everyone else in the program, and I got ready for the day, than I had breakfast. After that, we took a four hour bus ride to the very tip of southern Israel, to Eilat    ( a lot). Eilat is a resort town on the  gulf of Aqaba, which helps contain the Red Sea.

We went to a nature reserve park. At the park I waded in the Red Sea and hung out on the beach with everyone, and then I went snorkeling for the first time. They have a great coral reef there. I never quite figured out the whole breathing with a mask while my face is underwater thing. So, I got a lot of salt water in my mouth. Other than that, the coral was very beautiful, and I saw some really beautiful fish.

After that I decided I was going to go with some people to check out the town. It was just like your regular beach/resort town, but it was still nice to take a peaceful stroll along the boardwalk.

We had dinner at the Yotvata Kibbutz that we ate at on our way back from Egypt. This time I got the chicken snitchel. For dessert we all got gelato. When I was just about done with my two scoops of gelato someone started singing happy birthday to me again. When they found out that it was my birthday they gave me another gelato. This time it was a little bit of a bigger cup. I think it was like five scoops. It was so good, but it was so much. I shared a good portion of it with a lot of the people there.

It was one amazing day.
